The second round of matches from the Peugeot League was played last weekend with the top three teams - Hibs Medsea, Depiro and Luxol - all obtaining comfortable victories over Sliema Wanderers, Kerygma and SN Suns respectively.
Hibs found little difficulty in disposing of the Wanderers as they notched an 80-17 victory. After potting the first ten points, Hibs did not look back to lead 34-9 at half-time.
Sliema were no match for the champions as Hibs continued to add points at a canter.
Luxol were also never troubled by SN Suns and after leading 33-10 at half-time they went on to collect their second victory, 69-18.
Depiro could not have hoped for a better start as they scored the first 11 points against Kerygma. The latter improved after their first basket but Depiro continued to dictate matters freely to change ends 30-13 in front.
Kerygma did manage to share the exchanges after the interval as Depiro, with next Sunday's MBA Shield final in mind, opted to administer their lead, going on to win 53-32.
