A man who has a pending murder case had his jail term reduced from one month to 21 days for breaching bail conditions.

The Magistrates's Court had originally fined Josef Grech Lm500 and jailed him for a month, and not for eight months as was erroneously reported in The Times on Saturday.

Mr Justice Joseph Galea Debono reduced the jail term to 21 days and the fine to Lm400 on appeal.

The error is regretted.
