I refer to a contribution entitled Maltapost And Monopoly, wherein Luke Borg, of Sliema, refers to problems he seems to have encountered regarding despatch of goods to Malta.

Maltapost is not aware that there has ever been an issue regarding mailing of goods to addresses in Malta.

We, therefore, invite the correspondent and, indeed, anyone else experiencing this problem, to contact our Customer Care Department (freephone 8007 2244, 2122 4421, e-mail: info@maltapost.com, postal address: Customer Care Department, Maltapost plc, 305 Triq Hal Qormi, Marsa MTP1001) with the relevant information, in order to enable Maltapost to clarify this issue with the companies involved.

Moreover, Maltapost is likewise not aware of any problems regarding incoming mail.

This is borne out by independent international quality results for Maltapost's inbound performance for October2006/September 2007, which showed a 94.10 per cent J+1, meaning that items received from abroad on a particular day were delivered to their Malta addresses on the following working day, while the rest were delivered within three days.

We trust this clarifies matters.
