Euro starter kits from HSBC
From Saturday, Euro starter kits for retailers and small businesses will be available for sale from the tellers in HSBC's retail branches. The kits will enable retailers and the public to have small change in hand in good time for the changeover.
Retailers' starter packs contain €131 in euro coins, at a face value of Lm56.24. To supplement the retail starter pack, retailers may also purchase €5 bank notes which will be exchanged at the irrevocable Fixed Conversion Rate of 0.4293.
Mini kits for the public will be available for sale from the tellers in HSBC's retail branches from December 10. They contain €11.65 in euro coins, at a value of Lm5.
