The number of registered unemployed was down 4.7 per cent in July compared to the same month last year.
There were 5,094 men on the unemployment register while women numbered 1,416. Both figures were lower than in July 2010, by 282 and 36 respectively, although there was a global rise of nearly 400 on the register compared to June 2011.

“Over the last year only, our country had 2,500 people more working full time,” the party said.
