Vodafone Malta Foundation chairman Gemma Mifsud Bonnici visited Dar Niki Cassar in Valletta with YMCA chairman Jean Paul Mifsud to oversee the work in support of the homeless being carried out by this organisation.
YMCA operates from two centres in Merchants and St Paul streets.
The premises in Merchants Street is a drop-in centre, where people with difficulties can visit with the aim of being helped.
In St Paul Street is Dar Niki Cassar, a shelter for homeless people.
Ms Mifsud Bonnici presented a donation from the foundation renewing its support towards the YMCA.
YMCA Homeless supports the development of youths and intervenes by offering a spectrum of social work services to individuals who are underprivileged or socially disadvantaged.
It assists in the rehabilitation of the homeless and works on instilling a sense of hope for the future.
Persons wishing to make a donation to YMCA Homeless may send an SMS on 5061 8088 for a donation of Lm2, and 5061 9212 for a donation of Lm5.
