The first edition of the Grand Prix de Malte held recently along the ring road in Valletta was featured prominently in the popular weekly French car magazine La Vie de l'Auto.

Besides a front page photo and a headline entitled 100% Pur Malte, the magazine dedicates a two-page spread with more photographs of classic racing cars against a Valletta background.

The report quotes the reaction of the foreign racing drivers, who were impressed by the reception of the Maltese and the facilities provided.

It is estimated that around 30,000 people attended the two-day event.

The organiser of the event, Frenchman Thierry Giovannoni has already returned to Malta to start the ball rolling for another edition of the Grand Prix next year.
