Man pleads not guilty to stabbing his partner
Joseph Cassar, 48, of Marsaxlokk this morning pleaded not guilty to slightly injuring his Nigerian partner when he allegedly stabbed her in the thigh on Sunday.
Defence counsel Roberto Montalto told the court that Cassar had suspected that she was pregnant with his child and that she was planning to abort.
Cassar was granted bail on a personal guarantee of Lm500 and ordered not to go near his partner's residence in Qawra.
