One message put across was that when and if Malta joins the EU, it could be like a marriage between Malta and the EU.
Now the Italian Parliament has passed a law laying down that all illegal immigrants should return to their own country.
Would the Italian Prime Minister now care to visit Malta and see for himself the gravity of the situation vis-à-vis illegal immigrants who land here and would he suggest some alternatives to the problem that is being created?
