The Birkirkara branch of Bank of Valletta will be open to the public for the purchase of euro notes and coins for use at the Euro Village to be held on Sunday and Monday at Gnien l-Istazzjon.

The branch will be open between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Sunday and between 5 and 9 p.m. on Monday. The limited euro currency exchange service will be at the irrevocably fixed convergence rate of €1 equivalent to Lm0.429300.

The bank is supporting the National Euro Changeover Committee in the organisation of the Euro Village, which will enable people to acquaint themselves with the use of the euro money before €-day.

Gnien l-Istazzjon will feature stalls trading in euro and an entertainment area for children.
