Malouda: Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda will miss France's friendly against Morocco on Friday in Paris because of a sore left knee. "I won't be able to play against Morocco but there is still hope for the match against Ukraine," Malouda, referring to an Euro 2008 qualifier on Nov. 21 in Kiev, was quoted as saying.

Coleman: Real Sociedad are investigating coach Chris Coleman's late arrival at a news conference on Friday, amid media reports he was seen in a local nightclub in the early hours of the morning. Journalists were kept waiting an hour and a half for his weekly conference. When he arrived Coleman apologised for the delay, saying he had a flood at his flat.

Turkey: Turkey coach Fatih Terim named five uncapped players in his 24-man squad for their final two Euro 2008 qualifiers away against Norway on Nov. 17 and at home against Bosnia four days later. The squad, which flew to Estonia on Monday to begin training for the Norway match, included four uncapped defenders - Sedat Bayrak, Ibrahim Kas, Gokhan Gonul and Hayrettin Yerlikaya - and striker Semih Senturk.

Siena: Serie A strugglers Siena have brought back former coach Mario Beretta after parting company with Andrea Mandorlini, the club said. Siena, who lost 3-2 at home to fellow relegation candidates Livorno on Sunday, are just above the drop zone on the same points as bottom club Empoli. Beretta left by mutual consent in June after the Tuscan club escaped relegation with five minutes to go on the last day of the season.
