Malta's U-19 team played their second match in a UEFA Mini-Tournament, losing 2-0 to hosts Italy at the Iesi Stadium in Ancona yesterday.

Italy struck their two goals in the first half as Malta succumbed to their second consecutive defeat in this qualifying tournament for the European U-19 Championship. On Saturday, Malta were beaten 3-0 by Croatia.

The Maltese youngsters, who are under the guidance of coach Edwin Camilleri, complete their commitments on Thursday when they face Montenegro.
