THE TIMES
- The Commonwealth has warned Pakistan of suspension from the organisation if the current political situation does not improve. The warning was issued after a foreign ministers’ meeting in London presided by Maltese Foreign Minister Michael Frendo.
- The police are holding a man suspected of having attacked a Sliema shop window using a hammer.

- The Nationalist Party said the Labour Party is improvising the costing of its own proposals, with spokesmen giving different figures.
- The first in-patients were transferred from St Luke’s to Mater Dei Hospital yesterday amid enthusiasm and satisfaction by both professionals and patients.
