Frank Salt Investments Ltd will this year give its annual Lm1,000 award to the person, organisation or company that has stood out for its contribution in philanthropy.
In 2004, the award was given for culture and the arts, in 2005 for the environment and last year for national pride.
The award is intended to highlight the efforts of a person or company involved in their sector and is a sign of appreciation for all the hard work and continuous assistance given to society.
The adjudicating committee is made up of chairman Maurice de Giorgio and members Philip Farrugia Randon, Martin Scicluna and Philip Zammit Briffa.
They have selected a winner who in their opinion merits this recognition beyond a shadow of doubt.
Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi will be presenting the award to the winner at the Phoenicia Hotel on November 28.
