Borg and Zammit head for Thailand

Snooker players Alex Borg and Simon Zammit left the islands on their way to Thailand where they will take part in the World Amateur Snooker Championship which starts on Saturday.

Borg will be playing in Group D along with B. Erdene, K. Bissessur, J. Torpey, P. Jantad, Y. Fakuda, M.A. Joker, D. O'Kane, A. Paggett, C. Lai, M. Rhodes, M. Nitschle and H. Su Ban.

Zammit is in Group C. One of his opponents in the qualifying stage will be Maltese-Australian James Mifsud. The others are: M. Sagnil, D. Hoon, W. Al-Shaka'a, J. Meara, M. Hamalinen, C.I. Chircu, P. Francisco, M. Leysi, S. Mohammed, O. Mounchid and Y. Muldoon.
