Obituary
BUTTIGIEG. On October 24, ALFRED of Floriana, aged 64, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rosaria, his daughter Lorraine and her husband Philip Muscat, Stephen, widower of his daughter Tereza, his grandchildren Carly and Dean, his brothers, in-laws and their families, relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for St Publius parish church, Floriana, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement would be appreciated.
MICALLEF. On October 24, at her residence in Bahar ic-Caghaq, ADELAIDE, aged 84, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her daughters Marlene and her husband Francesco, Cinzia and her husband Roberto, Josephine and Richard, Yvonne and her husband Tony, Monica and her husband Joe, Antoinette and her husband Joe, her son Henry and his wife Carmen, her many grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, all her relatives and friends.
Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 2 p.m. at St Mary of the Angels church, Bahar ic-Caghaq, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to The Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be highly appreciated.

MICALLEF EYNAUD. On October 21, FLORELY, née Busuttil, widow of Gerald, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved daughter Gay and her husband William Carbonaro, her adored two grandchildren Carla and Francis and his wife Sarah, her sisters Liliana and her husband Maurice Petrocochino and Mariny Ver Elst, her sister-in-law Vera Micallef Eynaud, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Casa Arkati, Mosta, today at 2 p.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to The Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
The family wishes to thank the matron, nurses and staff of Casa Arkati who cared for her so lovingly.

General Knowledge Quiz

Cinemum Morning
The next Cinemum morning for mothers, babies and children will take place on November 2 at 10 a.m. at the Eden Cinemas, featuring Ratatouille and The Goofy Movie.
Before the showings, toddlers can use a play area while mums can mingle, enjoy free tea or coffee provided by InterContinental Malta and browse around the stalls of mum and baby goods.
Curtain Raiser will be waiting in the lobby after the film to perform a story-telling session along with Goofy and Donald.
Free Missha make-up and tickets to Razzett tal-Hbiberija's Animal Park will be given away while stocks last.
Changing and feeding facilities will be provided and the lights and sound in the theatres will be subdued for the benefit of the babies and children.

WasteServ Extends Customer Service
WasteServ said it has improved its customer care service, which has moved to Victoria and will have extended opening hours due to increased demand from the public.
The centre, which can be contacted on Freephone 8007 2200, is run by trained personnel and is open from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.
WasteServ encourages anyone with a query or who would like more information on waste separation or waste management to call Freephone 8007 2200 or to log on to the WasteServ website www.wasteservmalta.com.

Heart Lecture
The next public lecture organised by Flora and Flora pro.activ, to convey its Love Your Heart message in Malta, will be held at St James Cavalier, Valletta on Monday at 9.30 a.m.
With cardiovascular disease being the number one cause of death worldwide, the talks seek to increase awareness of the role that a healthy diet and lifestyle can play in helping to maintain heart health and reducing the risk of cardiovascular problems.
The main speaker will be senior cardiac surgeon Alex Manchè.
Requiem Mass
A Mass for the repose of the souls of the deceased council members of the Physically Handicapped Rehabilitation Fund will be held at the rehabilitation centre, Corradino, Paola on November 2 at 11.30 a.m. The attendance of council members, members and relatives will be appreciated.
Ballet And Band Concert
A concert by the 12th May Band of Zebbug in collaboration with the Olivia Dow School of Russian Ballet will be held on November 11 at 7.30 p.m. at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta. Tickets are available from the booth at the MCC or can be booked by calling 9925 6211 against a donation of Lm4. All donations will go in aid of Dar tal-Providenza.
Prize Apartment
Paul and Josephine Busuttil from Rabat signed the preliminary agreement for the transfer of an apartment which they won on the TV programme Tista' Tkun Int.
The fully furnished and equipped two bedroom property, with garage, is in Savoy Gardens.

Greek Icon Exhibition
A Greek icon exhibition will run between November 1 and 4 at the Main Conference Hall of the Centru Animazzjoni u Kommunikazzjoni, Sommier Street, Birkirkara. It will be open from 6.30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, from 9.30 a.m. to noon and 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
