Cerny: Czech goalkeeper Radek Cerny is in line to make his first Premier League appearance for Tottenham Hotspur since the final day of the 2004-05 season when he deputises for England No.1 Paul Robinson at Newcastle United on Monday. Robinson, who damaged a calf during the 2-1 defeat in Russia on Wednesday, has not missed a league match for two complete seasons and played in the opening nine league games of this campaign.
Torres: Liverpool's Spanish striker Fernando Torres, who injured an adductor muscle while on international duty last week, could face Everton in the Merseyside derby, coach Rafael Benitez has hinted. Trezeguet: Juventus striker David Trezeguet said yesterday he is considering quitting the French national team after being dropped by coach Raymond Domenech. "The way Domenech has treated me is unacceptable. I'm seriously thinking of saying 'that's it' to the national team," the 30-year-old said. Togo: The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have placed an indefinite ban on Togo's Kegue stadium following attacks on Mali players after a key African Nations Cup qualifier last Friday. Any further sanctions would be a matter for CAF's disciplinary committee, officials said, after spectators attacked opposing players and pelted the field with missiles in Lome.
