People entitled to the influenza vaccine for free can start taking it from Monday.

The vaccine will be available at health centres during weekdays between 10.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and on Saturday between 10 a.m and midday.

Gozo residents can take the vaccine from the Victoria health centre on weekdays between 8 a.m. and midday. The Health Division said the vaccine can be taken by anyone over six months of age. Over 55-year-olds, those working in direct contact with patients, people living in institutions and those suffering from chronic conditions are entitled to the vaccine for free.

Vaccines can also be taken from local councils.

House-bound patients who would like to take the vaccine can ask to be given the vaccine at home.
