Schaaf: Werder Bremen have given coach Thomas Schaaf a two-year contract extension until the end of the 2009/10 season, the club said. Schaaf, 46, one of the longest-serving coaches in Germany, has been in charge of Bremen since May 1999. He led the club to the Bundesliga title in 2004 and two German Cup triumphs in 1999 and 2004.
