World soccer's governing body FIFA has decided to move China's World Cup qualifier against Myanmar in Yangon to a third country.

The Oct. 28 preliminary for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa would instead be played in Malaysia, an Asian Football Confederation spokeswoman said.

Myanmar's military junta cracked down on pro-democracy demonstrations led by monks last month, in which at least 10 people were killed.

China is to play the preliminary's first leg against Myanmar in Foshan, in the southern Guangdong province, on Sunday.
