A Magistrate yesterday fined a man Lm1,000 after finding him guilty of killing at least one cat when he mixed poison for snails with cat food more than four years ago.

Paul Cauchi, 31, from Zejtun, was fined by Magistrate Miriam Hayman, after the court heard that he mixed the poison with calamari and caused the death of one or more cats.
