Man steals necklaces

A man stole two necklaces from a jewellery shop in Birkirkara yesterday morning, the police said.

The unarmed thief, wearing a cap and sunglasses, snatched the items from the shop in Triq il-Fniek and then ran away.

The police said the precise value of the items had yet to be established but they were worth under Lm500.

Investigations are underway.
