Accused of encouraging minor to take up prostitution

A man was charged with trafficking in drugs and encouraging a teenage girl to prostitute herself.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke heard Brian Fenech, 32, plead not guilty to living off the earnings of prostitution, encouraging a minor to prostitute herself and trafficking in heroin, ecstasy and cannabis on and before January 2006.

Police Inspectors Dennis Theuma and Raymond Abdilla prosecuted.

Lawyers José Herrera and Veronique Dalli were defence counsel.
