The Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta was sparkling and shining on Saturday night for the launch of refined and exclusive jewellery pieces.

Organised by the Gaba Group in collaboration with Sishei and Longines, the mediaeval La Valette Hall provided the perfect setting for the display which will run until the end of October.

The launch was spiced up by the presence of models, who wore period costumes, and accessorised with fine jewellery and pearls.

The highlight of the evening was a display of five priceless watches spanning the entire 20th century. The oldest one, dating back to 1923, was specifically flown in for this occasion from the Longines St Imier Museum in Switzerland.

Also on display were four internationally-certified diamonds of high investment quality, ranging from 3.18 carat to 6.17 carat with individual cuts.

Other items exhibited included an elegant pearl collection designed by Italian masters Sishei, as well as a Longines jewellery watch collection and an array of internationally-certified diamonds ranging from 0.50 carat to three carat.

The public has the opportunity to view all of the exhibits at Gaba Gioielli and visitors can also win either a Sishei or Longines gift.
