F1's governing body confirmed Spyker's first point last weekend after rejecting an appeal by rivals Toro Rosso. The FIA said in a statement that the appeal judges, who met in Paris on Friday, had confirmed the decision of stewards at last month's Japanese Grand Prix. Italian Vitantonio Liuzzi finished eighth in that race but was given a 25-second penalty for overtaking under a yellow warning flag, promoting Spyker's Adrian Sutil into the points instead.
