Bank of Valletta and the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise have signed a three-year agreement that will see both entities pool resources and know-how for the benefit of the business community.
The agreement was signed by Tonio Depasquale, the bank's chief executive officer, and Victor A. Galea, president of the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise.
"We are hereby strengthening and consolidating our close working relationship with the Chamber, underlining our appreciation of the Chamber's national mission and role to promote enterprise and growth to the benefit of all its members," Mr Depasquale said.
He said that being Malta's largest bank with a strong presence in every sector of the Maltese economy, Bank of Valletta believed that its business alliance with the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise would deliver mutual benefit to the stakeholders of both organisations.
The new agreement includes new areas of cooperation and will see the bank deploying its expertise and resources to further support the local business community.
Mr Galea said his organisation was proud to have Bank of Valletta as a collaborating partner. "This is evidence of the standing the Chamber has garnered over the last years," he said.
