The Graffitti Group joined other organisations around the world in an activity yesterday in front of McDonald's outlet in Valletta in protest against the practices of the multinational food company.
Graffitti said the campaign aimed to inform the public about the harm being done by McDonald's to people, animals and the environment around the globe.
Employees with McDonald's are often not permitted to join trade unions and apart from this, the "free gifts" given with meals, such as toys, are frequently produced in factories in Third World countries where child labour and cheap labour are practised.
