Our families and the Rosary

"The Rosary is a prayer of contemplation so badly needed for mankind in our modern times, where the style of life has become so materialistic. It is a prayer of the Virgin Mary and her devotees. The mysteries of the Rosary are like windows through which we turn our thoughts and see clearly the world of God." (Pope John Paul II).

We are living in a world plagued by conflicts. It may be that conflicts also exist in our families. We have to admit that nowadays the word "peace" is becoming rare, and therefore we have no time to communicate with each other as time is very limited for dialogue.

Is there a solution under these circumstances? Yes, there is - prayer.

We have to admit we need God in every moment of our lives. Joy and unity reign only where there is true love within the walls of our homes.

Love and peace are a gift of God. Not so long ago, the prayer of the Rosary was treasured by our parents and was so popular after Mass. This prayer is so strong against the evils that exist in the world: "If you seek peace, pardon and finally salvation, say the Rosary daily," the Virgin Mary told us. There is no excuse.

October is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary. Let us turn to her by means of her prayer, the Holy Rosary. The family which prays together, stays together.
