• The film Grounded is being shown at the Don Bosco Oratory in Victoria today at 5.30 p.m.

• The feast of St Francis of Assisi is being celebrated at St Anthony church, Ghajnsielem, today. At 10 a.m. Br Alfred Sciberras, OFM, will bless animals and pets at the convent's car park. In the evening, at 5.30, Fr Frankie Bajada, archpriest of Ghajnsielem, leads a concelebrated Mass. This will be followed by a party at the convent.

• Today the Gozo diocese commemorates the dedication of its cathedral, where Bishop Mario Grech will celebrate Pontifical High Mass at 6 p.m.

• The Nadur council will be holding a concert by the central orchestra of the Russian Defence Ministry at Archpriest Martin Camilleri Square, Nadur, tomorrow at 7.30 p.m. In case of bad weather the concert will be held at the Sacred Heart church, Nadur.

• Yoga classes are held at the Gozo Sports Complex every Tuesday between 9 and 10 a.m. Those interested should call Jennifer on 9984-7292.

• Marriage preparation courses run by the Cana Movement will be held on Fridays at 7.30 p.m., on Saturdays at 7.30 p.m. and on Sundays at 8.45 a.m. Those interested should call at the Cana Centre, Fortunato Mizzi Street, Victoria, to fill in application forms.

• A euro information meeting will be held at the Joe Tabone Hall of the Nadur council premises on Friday at 9 a.m. A member of the euro changeover committee will lead the meeting.

• The Padre Pio Prayer Group will be holding a prayer meeting at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces at the Capuchin convent in Victoria at 5.30 p.m.
