THE NANNY DIARIES
comedy
Annie Braddock (Scarlett Johansson) isn't sure what she wants to be when she grows up but with college behind her, she's got to set herself on a path. She isn't ready for the corner office in the financial district, and her mother (Donna Murphy) doesn't understand. Aimlessly trying to find her way, Annie bumps into Mrs. X (Laura Linney), an ultra-wealthy high society lady and is offered the job as nanny to the X's son Grayer (Nicholas Reese Art).
Thinking she has found a temporary respite from the career rat race, Annie accepts the job. Her best friend Lynette (Alicia Keys) thinks she's crazy as she watches Annie jump into her new job with hope and enthusiasm. She quickly discovers why Mary Poppins never landed in Manhattan. Grayer is all but invisible to his parents. His mother is busy chairing benefits and shopping and Mr. X (Paul Giamatti) is an angry workaholic who finds every excuse to be away from home.
All alone, Annie must give Grayer the nurturing he needs so desperately. Although she knows she must get away from the X's for her own sanity and survival, she falls in love with Grayer and cannot find it in her heart to abandon him.
THE KINGDOM
action
FBI Special Agent Ronald Fleury (Jamie Foxx) has just received the assignment of his career: assemble an elite team (Jennifer Garner, Chris Cooper and Jason Bateman) and go to Riyadh to hunt down and capture the terrorist mastermind behind a deadly attack on Americans working in Saudi Arabia. The feds have only one week to infiltrate and cripple a cell bent on destroying western society.
No training could prepare Fleury and his team for the disorienting culture shock they face once inside this scorching foreign land - a byzantine maze of profiteering politicians and storefront terrorists. Bound by handlers who refuse to play ball with the US, the agents quickly find the local law enforcement hindering them rather than giving help and soon grow uncertain of anybody's allegiance.
However, when a sympathetic Saudi police captain helps them navigate through Riyadh politics and investigate the true cause of the attack, Fleury finds an unexpected comrade-in-arms. In their fast attempt to crack the case, the partners' search leads them straight to the killers' front door. Now in a fight for their own lives, two teams on opposite sides of the war on terror won't stop until justice is found in The Kingdom.
RUN, FAT BOY, RUN
comedy
Five years ago Dennis was at the altar about to marry Libby, his pregnant fiancée. He got cold feet and ran for the hills, and he's been going in circles ever since. When Dennis discovers Libby's hooked up with high-flying-go-getter Whit, he realises it's now or never. He enters a marathon to show he's more than a quitter but then finds out just how much sweat, strain and tears it takes to run for 26 miles. Nobody gives him a chance, but Dennis knows this is his only hope to be more than a running joke.
