The National Euro Changeover Committee yesterday warned the Malta Football Association over their decision to increase ticket prices for domestic football matches as from next January 1.

On Wednesday, MFA president Joe Mifsud announced a small increase in ticket prices mostly due to the change of the Maltese lira to the Euro, an NECC statement said.

It added that the measures breach the provisions of Legal Notice 4 of 2007.

The Euro Observer is urging the Malta FA to reconsider their position on the matter. This is being done according to the dispositions of Legal Notice 4 of 2007 that could result in administrative fines of Lm750 on breaches and Lm 75 every day until remedial action is taken.
