Referee Azzopardi for Women's U-17 Championship
Esther Azzopardi has been appointed as referee in two Group One matches of the first European Women's U-17 Championship 2008 to be played in Switzerland between today and next Tuesday.
This is the first appointment for Azzopardi since she was officially included on the FIFA list of Women Referees, the first from Malta.
Azzopardi will be controlling two matches, namely, Switzerland vs Cyprus and Cyprus vs Lithuania. The other team in the group is Wales.
Paul Apap has been appointed as Assistant Referee for this tournament.
