Frenchman Sebastien Loeb is gunning for a third victory in succession at the Tour of Corsica to stay on course for a fourth consecutive rallying world champion title.

The Citroen driver is second in the overall standings with 90 points, six behind Ford rival Marcus Gronholm, of Finland, with four races remaining.

The Tour of Corsica, also known as the French rally, runs from tomorrow to Sunday.

Loeb revived his title hopes last weekend when he won the Rally of Catalunya with Gronholm back in third place behind the Frenchman's team-mate, Spaniard Dani Sordo.

"The Tour of Corsica is my rally, along with Monte Carlo and Germany. It really is important for me," Loeb said.

"It's the French rally and it just happens to be the rally where I received my first title."

"It took me some time to win it but it is by far my best memory," he added.

"It was also one of my first objectives upon beginning racing in the world championship."
