A plethora of high scores were recorded during last week's Metallform Trophy competition at Marsa.
Mannie Agius was first into the club house with 40 Stableford points and prematurely accepted the congratulations of everyone.
In fact, there were five contestants with 41 points and they were in winning order after a count-back. These were: Eric Akkerhuis, Charles Robson, Edward Sullivan, Henry Gray and Peter Dimech.
Ian Restall, Metallform managing director, handed out the prizes in the presence of some of his directors who were in Malta from Germany for the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Fenston Cup, which is organised by the Ladies Section and run every month over six Sundays, got underway last week.
Six teams, Sapori, Golf Shop, Playmobil, Cassar & Cooper, Pedigree and Beck Graphics, are taking part.
As the competition progresses, excitement will mount as the favourites begin to emerge. The winner of last Sunday's competition was Ralph Asciak who also happens to be the chairman of the Marsa SC.
