The Labour Party parliamentary group together with the deputy leader for party affairs Michael Falzon yesterday condemned Investments Minister Austin Gatt's criticism of Labour leader Alfred Sant at the PN general council on Sunday.
It referred to the minister's speech as being full of "personal insults" and called on the Prime Minister to disassociate himself from Dr Gatt. Dr Gatt had passed comments about Dr Sant's speech at a Labour Party mass meeting in Birzebbuga on September 20, saying the MLP leader's delivery could have qualified him for a feature on Altered Statesmen, a documentary series on Discovery Channel that investigates political leaders who had alcohol or substance abuse problems.
