The Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses (MUMN) is organising a conference in conjunction with the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and the Caritas Malta Epilepsy Association (CMEA) on "Epilepsy and the Nursing Profession" on Friday, November 16.
The conference's keynote speaker will be Marianne Peachey, Epilepsy specialist nurse, Ipswich Hospital, NHS Trust. She is responsible for running epilepsy clinics, is involved in teaching and training sessions on epilepsy, and performs epilepsy audits and research.
The local speakers are Dr Doriette Soler, consultant paediatrician; Clarissa Captur, clinical pharmacist, and Mario Dimech, president, CMEA. The conference will be introduced by Paul Pace, president, MUMN, and chaired by Dr Janet Mifsud, University of Malta lecturer and CMEA adviser.
ECTS credits are awarded for CPD allowance. Other health care professionals are also invited to attend.
