This 60-hour course covers several aspects of great relevance to every supervisor, for example, what the supervisor's job really entails, organising and delegating, directing and co-ordinating one's department, communicating new ideas and information, motivating and leading work teams, managing one's time, tackling costs and raising efficiency, problem-solving, handling complaints and grievances in a tactful manner and maintaining good discipline.
The programme, which starts on Tuesday, October 16, highlights important changes occurring in today's highly competitive environment, and combines lectures, readings, group discussions, case studies and experiential exercises. Towards the end of the course, participants will prepare an assignment relating the course to their work experience and environment.
