Today's cat show

The Malta Feline Guardians Club will hold its seventh cat show/exhibition at the Coastline Hotel, Salina Bay, today, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Every visitor will be given a Lm2 voucher on entrance to the show which is exchangeable at Derek's Garden Centre and with every entrance ticket one has the chance to win an hourly prize.

Some 45 cats will be on show, and visitors will be able to vote for their favourites. The cats are divided into three categories: pure breed kittens of over three months; adult pure breed, and all domestic cats.

Three trophies will be awarded to each category of pure breeds while two will be awarded to the public's favourite domestic. A trophy is also awarded for the best cat overall and another to the best decorated cage.

The shows' sponsors will be Gourmet Pearl and Micabliss Persians.

Well-known TV presenter Moira Delia will be making an appearance at the show as a representative of Gourmet Pearls. She will be present a trophy to the owner of the cat which she thinks is the best in show.

This show is a prelude to the next international cat show which will also be held at the Coastline Hotel on November 24 and 25.
