MISCO recently finalised its 2007/2008 issue of the Salaries and Benefits Report, compiled with the aim of providing senior management with information about the different remuneration packages paid to managerial, executive and other salaried staff in the Maltese Islands.
Compiled over a seven-month period, spanning from January to September this year, the Salaries and Benefits Report focuses on the salaries and benefits offered in service and manufacturing organisations.
It distinguishes between local private, local government and foreign-owned companies and between companies of different size. This segmentation of information gives a better idea of remuneration offered locally, thus permitting a more accurate positioning of the organisation within the market.
The 34 position titles covered by this study include: general manager/managing director, HR manager, operations manager; sales manager; quality manager; technical manager; purchasing manager; assistant manager/executive; analyst/programmer; clerk; shop assistant; executive secretary; receptionist; technician; financial controller; administration manager; marketing manager; IT manager; maintenance manager; departmental manager; engineer; accountant; accounts clerk; sales representative; secretary, supervisor; and storekeeper.
The report includes the seven new positions: lawyer; operator; lab analyst; call centre supervisor; call centre inbound agent; call centre outbound agent; and delivery man.
Based on quality research and extensive knowledge acquired through MISCO's involvement in HR consultancy, the report provides a reliable, realistic and up-to-date picture of what companies are paying to recruit new employees or retain present staff.
Copies of the report can be purchased from MISCO's offices at Fino Buildings, Notabile Road, Mriehel. For more information, contact Anton Buttigieg on 2122-0303/2205-4652 or e-mail ambuttigieg@miscomalta.com.
