Traffic along busy Marina Street, Pietà was temporarily halted yesterday afternoon after a huge fork lifter accidentally fell off the trailer truck carrying it.

Luckily, no one was injured.

The trailer truck was being driven from the direction of Msida when something went wrong and the fork lifter slid off the heavy vehicle. As the trailer happened to be on the inner lane, there was no traffic passing by the side the fork lifter fell.

Workers used lifting equipment to hoist the fork lifter back on the trailer so that the road could be reopened to traffic.
