221 children under care order

A total of 221 children are under a care order, Family Affairs Minister Dolores Cristina said yesterday. The care orders were issued after the children were found to be suffering neglect, physical, sexual or emotional abuse.

The minister was replying to a parliamentary question by Adrian Vassallo (MLP).
