Obituary

BISAZZA. On September 29, at Casa Arkati, Mosta, ANNE née Grech Marguerat, widow of Notary Victor Bisazza, passed away peacefully. Loved and remembered by her dear sons Dr Victor J. Bisazza and his wife Ruby, Dr Philip Bisazza and his wife Elizabeth, her beloved grandchildren Roberta, Daniela and her husband Steven Apap Bologna, and Alexander, her great-grandson. She also leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Josephine Foley, Dr Mary Griffiths and her husband Victor, her in-laws Mary Grech Marguerat and Dolly Grech Marguerat, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Casa Arkati tomorrow at 9 a.m. for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated.
May God grant her eternal rest.

BUHAGIAR. On September 28, at St Luke's Hospital, CARMEN, of St Julians, aged 61, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved sisters Tessie, widow of Joe Azzopardi, Grace, widow of Anthony Debono, and Phyllis, widow of Joe Borg Caruana, her nieces Joanna, Vanessa and Caroline, her nephews Roger, Patrick and Kenneth, their respective families, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant her eternal rest.

FENECH. On September 29, FRANCIS, former Fl. Lt. RAF and administrative secretary SPCA, at the age of 84, at his residence in St Paul's Bay, comforted by the rites of Holy Mother Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Pauline, his sons Albert and his wife Tilde, Edward and his wife Antoinette, and his grandchildren Bernard and Claire.
The funeral leaves his residence today at 3 p.m. for St Paul's Bay parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Burmarrad Cemetery.
Lord grant him eternal rest.

PACE. On September 29, Edward Henry passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn him his sisters Lilian Simpson and Alice Buttigieg De Piro and her husband Anthony, Marquis Buttigieg De Piro, his nephews Christopher, Dominic and Nicholas Simpson and his wife Karyn.
Mass praesente cadavere will be said on Wednesday, October 3, at 9.30 a.m. at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be appreciated.

ZAMMIT FAVA. On September 30, at her residence in Qawra, SANDY ANNE of St Julians, aged 37, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved Darren, her children Lara, Yanica, Kimberly and Kylie, her father Jimmy, her mother Salvina, her sister Mary Louise, her brother Antoine, her nephews and nieces Sarah, Joshua and Alanah, uncles and aunts, her mother-in-law Antoinette, her in-laws Simon, Brian, Sharon and Karen, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves her residence tomorrow, Tuesday, at 1 p.m. for St Julians parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement will be appreciated.

St James' Ditch Works

Cleaning and maintenance works will be carried out along parts of St James' Ditch, Valletta between today and Friday. Between today and Wednesday works will be carried out in the area between the bridge (Yellow Garage) and the offices of the Department of Trade. On Thursday and Friday works will be carried out from the bridge to Triq l-Assedju l-Kbir (the Valletta ring road). Access will be partially impeded and parking in the area prohibited.

Support Group Collection

The Breast Care Support Group Europa Donna said the collection from the green boxes for the Breast Awareness Campaign raised Lm637.39c, which includes Lm408.39c from Maltapost.
