Police hold man after theft
The police are holding a man for questioning in connection with the theft of a small amount of money from a lotto receiver's office at Cospicua Wharf yesterday.
The police said the suspect, who was wearing a crash helmet, demanded money after he entered the lotto office at about 12.30 p.m. Though it was a Sunday, the receiver was carrying out some work at the office.
Duty Magistrate Miriam Hayman opened an inquiry.
