Labour will address army's problems

A Labour government will address the problems that have set back soldiers because of favours to "the blue-eyed boys".

As the army marked its 37th anniversary yesterday, Labour spokesman Joe Debono Grech said the government had to pay more attention to soldiers' needs.

He said the majority of soldiers were irritated by the government's treatment of such matters as promotions and working conditions.
