Lift, the Millennium chapel youth group, this summer had the unique opportunity to attend the Youth Augustinian Congress in Rome, which gathered youth animators from over 20 different countries to share and learn from their experiences, and the diverse methods and means they use in their everyday youth pastoral service.

Maria Alessandro, Stephania Aquilina, Raymond Bartolo, Anton Debono, Conrad Dimech, Katya Lautier and Fr Ray Francalanza form the group, which for the past year has been organising many activities for young people aged 18 to 35.

The members participated very actively in the group discussions on their role as youth animators, on topics related to the Augustinians' teachings, as well as in the Liturgy.

They were the only Maltese participants in the congress, and were among the first to share their enthusiasm and make suggestions, including one to set up an international youth committee to facilitate communication between Augustinian youths around the world.
