A Maltese song has won an award at the recent Astana Song Festival in Kazakhstan.

Singer Glen Vella took part with Don't Want To Say Good-bye composed by Paul Giordimaina with lyrics by Fleur Balzan.

The team won Best Arrangement For Own Song, one of the five main awards. The song will soon be released on CD.

Mr Vella also took part in the Kazakh Song section of the festival with a song called Tears translated into English and rearranged by the same duo.
