BALZAN. On September 25, at St Luke's Hospital, RONNIE, of Birzebbuga, aged 62, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Lucy, his children Angie, Adrian and his fiancée Audrey, Ronald and his wife Moira, his nephew Nikolai, his brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for St Peter in Chains parish church, Birzebbuga where Mass praesente cadevere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
CASSAR. On September 25, MARIA CARMELINA, known as Lina, aged 83, of Naxxar. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Frank, her children Marcel and his wife Margaret, Louis and his wife Lucianne, her grandchildren, Roberta, Rebecca, Roxianne, Benjamin and Jeremy, her in-laws, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. for Our Lady of Victory parish church, Naxxar, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Villa tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated.
MAMO. On September 25, at Zammit Clapp Hospital, ERIC, aged 83, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Edith née Pace, his sons Cedric and his wife Louise, Simon and his wife Rowena, Julian and his wife Adriana, and Stephen, his grandchildren Steve, Jerome, Joanna, Hugo, Sarah, Marcus, Allen and Samuel, his sisters Elsa wife of Robert Stivala, Marcelle Caruana Galizia, Sheila Wenner Andreasson, his brother Joe and his wife Bernardette, his in-laws Connie, Ruth, Bernardette, Dorothy, Ronald and Lina, Cecil, Marion, nephews and nieces.
The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp Hospital today for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. The family wish to thank the staff of the Malta Hospice Movement at Zammit Clapp Hospital. Lord grant him eternal rest.
PEARSON. On September 23, at Central Home, Mosta, JOSEPH JOHN, aged 85, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Trudy, brother, relatives and friends.

SALIBA. On September 25, at Capua St James Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 53, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children James, Michael and Catherine and their mother Maria, his mother Josephine, his dear sisters Rose and her husband Julius Nehorai, Melita and her husband Brian Dixon, Veronica and her husband Mark Hourston, his uncles and aunts, Canon Archpriest Tarcisio Camilleri and Rev. Fr Emmanuel Camilleri, his nephews, nieces, cousins and many relations and friends as well as his most special friend and partner Mario Debono.
The funeral will take place on Friday September 28, and arrangements will be announced tomorrow.

The European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) will hold its second scientific and annual general meeting at the Hilton Conference Centre at Portomaso, St Julians starting today.
Over 600 delegates are expected to attend. ESCP is dedicated to promoting and advancing the science, knowledge and practice of coloproctology in Europe with high quality multidisciplinary annual clinical and scientific meetings.
