WasteServ Malta is providing a new service to enable the safe disposal of needles, syringes and other drug-related items.

Containers of various sizes are being distributed at the civic amenity sites in Mriehel and Maghtab.

People who deposit these containers in the correct manner at the civic amenity sites will be given another box to be used until their next visit.

The syringes will be deposited in a hazardous waste container to be disposed of in a safe manner.

These sites are open between 7.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. during all days, including Sundays and public holidays.
