776 work permits to migrants

A total of 776 work permits to illegal immigrants were valid as of August 1, figures given in Parliament yesterday show.

Education and Employment Minister Louis Galea told Labour MP Joe Mizzi that the ETC issued 75 permits to refugees, 562 to persons enjoying temporary humanitarian protection and 139 to asylum seekers.
