The Armed Forces of Malta Band will organise a concert, directed by Mro Ivan Borg, on Independence Square, Victoria, today at 7 p.m., to celebrate Independence Day. Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi will be attending.
On the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Good Health, a concelebrated Mass will be led by Mgr John Dimech at Qala parish church, today at 5 p.m. A pilgrimage with the painting will follow.
Bishop Nikol Cauchi will lead a concelebrated Mass at the Jesus of Nazareth church, Xaghra, at 7 p.m., in honour of Sr Emiliana Mejlaq and Sr Angela Grech of the Franciscan community, to celebrate the 60th and 40th anniversary, respectively, of their religious profession. The Maranatha Choir will participate.
On Tuesday at 7 p.m. archpriest Carmelo Refalo of Xaghra will celebrate Mass for couples who have celebrated their 25th and 50th wedding anniversary, or who were married this year. Mass will be followed by a reception. The Guiding Light Choir will participate.
